oh, i see what's going on here, givin' yerself a headstart eh

well here's some pics of my looted 'lith in the state it was in when i got yer message:

so basically i'm building a steam-driven-wierdboy-powered-looted-monolith-trakter. or a sdwplmt for short and easy pronounciation.
this beasty'll be getting a cow catcher, a giant aiming-device on top and some platforms with pintle-mounted bigshootas, as well as an orky face on the front o' the lith and possibly some kannons on the front - not set on them yet.
in case you hadn't guessed, the wierdboy'll be chained into the top of the lith, and i plan to have him pulling the two bent parts of the side... ...structure towery focusing gubbinz... ...yeah that'll do... ...inwards.
the wheels, you may have noticed, are a bit flat. to do this i cut a hole in the rim, squashed the tyre and filled it with a two-part quick setting plastic. i reakon hot glue would do the job just as well. i did it to try to get a feel of weightiness to the build, rather than have perfectly inflated monster-tyres. i overdid the squashing on one side (got bored and left a pile of shoes on it) so i'll be saying that it's a flat tyre, but the orks don't care, and neither does the engine.
if anyone's wondering how i did the boiler, it's a fairly simple idea i had - instead of cutting all the strips out then trying to align them all properly, i cut a rectangle of p-card that would cover the boiler, scored out, but didn't cut, all the 'planks', then wrapped it round the boiler with lots of glue and a fair few elastic bands. this gives yo a look of lots of hard work and fiddling, with only the bother of the elastic pinging everywhere to worry about!
so wha'd'y'all think so far?
