Hey guys, I have been working on my first conversion and kitbash for my newly started Ork army, and thought i'd share some WIP pictures with you. Its nothing advanced, feel free to leave some feedback and/or ideas!

First off is my Trukk converted from my already assembled GC Goliath truck. (Bought it when the GC miniatures were released, just loved the model.)

I ripped out the gunner from his hatch and replaced him with some proper greenskin, switched out the autocannon turret for an industrial grade wrecking saw (not quite as prone to breakage as the real deal), scratch built a bumper with some orky teef, and added some spikey bitz to make it more 'urty! Also the roof is covered in casings, that's what happens when you DAKKADAKKADAKKA!!

Secondly i kitbashed an incomplete warbiker i bought off ebay with some leftovers from a Nobz kit, trying to make him look big and flashy enough to pass as my warboss. Obviously he has his own shoulder mounted attack squig!

One of the dakkaguns are missing so i replaced it with a big shoota from my deff dread kit, they wont get glued in place until its painted. I have already decided that the one pinned in place in the pictures will actually go on the other side in the final assembly. Still considering wether or not to try my hand at sculpting a few details with green stuff or just spray it and get on with some painting!

I work full time and live with my girldfriend and our 6 months old daughter so progress will be really slow, bear in mind!

I hope you enjoy!

A bloody serviceable trukk.  I'd like to see a few more armour plates, battle damage, generally whatever makes it a little less tidy, a little less Imperial.  On the other hand, all looted vehicles were new once.  The reinforced ram is killer, good work.

As for the biker boss.... you can probably get away with running him as a warboss, but just think how inadequate he's gonna feel when he's hanging out with all the uvver bosses.  I'd run him as a Nob myself, and build something bigger and badder for your boss.  But that's just my two teef's worth.

Good call on the battle damage, I think at some point I had planned it, and then I just forgot about it because I was so hyped about spraying and painting it! I will definately have to add some damage, maybe even remove some of the original details to make room for extra armor! (That model is really detailed, hardly any empty spaces at all)

As for the "warboss", I dont actually own a real warboss model yet, so I have nothing to compare with size-wise. I do have a few AoBR DeffKoptas though, so when I do get one I'm thinking one of those may serve better as a bike. Got those off of Ebay aswell though, so they are already fully assembled - may prove tricky to take apart without damaging them too much.

If you do get your hands on one of the official warboss models, you'll soon notice a pretty hefty size difference. Still, there's no law prohibiting you running an undersized boss, I just worry that all the other bosses will pick on him. Garslag would.

Then again, in the 80s and early 90s warbosses were not much bigger than a beakee. Whatever that proves!

Nice stuff!! I like the not-overly-covered with gliphs, plates and damage your models have. Keep it up!

Just had an idea for an improvised tankhammer. Obviously this dude is on a bike and will just use it as a choppa. And most people wouldn't bring tankhammers with their tankbustas anyway. But it looks sweet! Going out in a blaze of glory!

Nice idea and not that far fetched, once read about a chap who got a VC during WW2 for taking out a tiger tank with a sticky bomb delivered from a bren carrier :D

Decided to turn that biker into a Big Mek on bike with KFF. Still a little bit of fine tuning left, like a few rivets and some filing on the "tesla coils". What do you think so far?

..Yeah i noticed that bit of green stuff caught on the wiring when examining the pictures, it's been handled now!
