An Evil Sunz Gobsmasha.  I tried to sculpt a mohawk with green stuff for the guy popping up through the hatch, but failed hard and wound up buying some from Kromlech.  Unfortunately by that time I'd forgotten what colours I used on his skin, so he stayed as he is.

The side design that bears at least a passing resemblance to the Coca-Cola ribbon (or is it just me?) is actually a checkered version of the decals that used to adorn my old employer's trucks.  I think it looks pretty okay.  My next effort will be use a slightly drabber palette though, hopefully.

Anything like that looks ok on Evil Sunz vehicles and 'How bright should their vehicles be?' - the klan is renown for taking pride in their motors so erring towards 'too bright' probably is the right way to go on them (even Orks paint new stuff with new paint, the brighter the better for ES). Nice job on the front of the kannon too :thumbs

Agree completely - it's important for the boyz to get their wheelz repainted regularly if only to stop the grots having time to sit around discussing Lenin and Trorkski.  But I do think it's kinda implausible that every vehicle in the fleet has been painted on the same weekend.  I really dig the mismatched rabble look in Orks, and think the vehicles should be in varying stages of disrepair.  Also I'm kind of inspired by Scottshoemaker's Evil Sunz and would like to try and do something a lot less pristine.  I will probably inadvertantly wind up making them quite bright anyway (I'm too much of a 2nd Ed baby), but he will give me a good mark to fall well short of.

Here's a mob of Ardboyz I made to run under the old Space McQuirk Feral Orks list. I revisited them a year or two back and gave them a new Nob and some more armour and was really happy with how they turned out. Been meaning to post a piccy ever since. Hope you like.

The woody shoulderboards and SnakeBitey paintjob work well on them - the muzzle of the nobz slugga could have done with a bigger hole in it though :?

Looking forwards to next years update ;)

Sorry - I had probably snapped my 2mm drill bit at the time.

The balsa shoulder pads were a bitch to make, and even worse to paint. I normally paint wood brown, but I was trying to get a more true-to-life grey this time. Didn't quite work out, I guess.

The banner wavva is a nod to the old fluff, when you'll recall that every snakebite boy had a back banner. So I've made sure that my every Snakebite mob has a banner which counts as a bosspole, as the next best thing.

Those are some sweet looking snakebites, the wooden shoulder guards are a clever idea, very nice! I’d have me a little blood staining dry brushed on the edge of their choppa blades, but that’s just my personal preference! :)
If I break it, I'll fix it.

Thanks mate, sometimes I do bloodstains and sometimes I don't, for no reason I recollect I appear not to have been feeling the bloodstain love back in 02 or whenever it was!

I'm thinking I might need to go back and add some checks or dags or something to a few of those wooden shoulder pads, actually.
