Hi Guys,

I am wanting to paint my GorkaMorka Nob with a very dark skin to show how 'ard he is. I have looked at painted Black Orcs on the Games Workshop website, but this is not the colour skin I want to achieve, as it is too green.

The skin tone I'm looking for would be a bit darker than the one linked below:

Black Orc Blocker

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Speed Freek.

By what I can tell, that looks pretty simple, just do a mix of mostly black with great chin green or whatever it's called, and highlight in a more green heavy mix. It doesn't look too difficult to me... Shotgun

Hi, Thanks very much for that tip, I'm pretty useless when it comes to colour theory. However, when you said Gretchin Green, did you mean the foundation colour or the standard layer Goblin Green?

Te be honest I doubt it'll matter but I personally would use goblin green, however the foundation might give slightly better coverage. Either should work just fine really, if unsure, experiment to see which you prefer! Shotgun

If you're using the new paints, Waaagh Flesh Base with a Biel-Tan Green Shade is nice and dark. At best, you'd do some very small highlights with Warboss Green, and not even worry about Skarsnik Green. I've had good luck with the new paints that way...
