I'm afraid you're somewhat stuck mate. You basically have two choices if you don't want to buy the metal ones. The first is that you sculpt your own from greenstuff and the second is you learn how to resin cast.

Get Tyranid, troll and ravasaur head pieces from plastic bitz dealers for mad cheap then convert them into squigs by adding legs.

I've seen some impressive conversions using Dark Panzee Cold Ones. take a look at these.


You could also use Ramshackle Games' "Dungers". Here is a mangler squig conversion that uses them.

I have seen some fair results for smaller squigs converted from pink horrors. Maybe worth a looksie.
