after installing the game and steam. I click on it to launch the game and it tells me that it could not find the software to render? Just wondering if its possibly my driver is outdated or something else or if my laptop can't handle the game. Any suggestions?

here is exactly what it says, "Failed to find a supported hardware rendering device. Ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements for Dawn of War 2. Verify that DirectX is properly installed and that you have the latest drivers for your system." Anyone have a clue?

Hate to state the obvious, but check your system requirments. DoW2 requires much more computer than DoW/WA/DC/SS. At least you got it loaded. It took me forever with my NEW computer, until I realized firewalls were blocking the online signups.

I checked my laptops specs which are as follows, "It comes with the AMD Turion 64 X2 processor at 2GHz 2GB of system memory expandable to 4GB a 250GB hard drive ATI Radeon Xpress 1270 integrated graphics Windows Vista and up to 250GB3 configured with a single 5400 RPM SATA hard drive. Processor: AMD Sempron, AMD Turion X2, AMD Athlon X2 Graphics: ATI Mobility X1270 (Dedicated),ATI Radeon Xpress 1270 (Integrated) Then here are the recommended requirements for Dawn of War 2 Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista SP1 * AMD Athlon 64?2 4400+ or any Intel Core 2 Duo * 2 GB RAM (XP and Vista) * A 256MB Video Card (Shader Model 3) - Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT / ATI X1900, or equivalent * 5.5 GB of Hard Drive space Its been a while since I was in touch with PC and laptops and all but looking at my laptop specs and what is recommended for DoW2 I would say that my laptop can run it but just wondering what I can do to make the game run? Is it maybe my drivers are not updated or something else? Just need some help. My RAM is fine being that I have the 4GB model, I have plenty of free space on the hard drive. The only thing that looks questionable is the graphics card? And it says that it is integrated does that mean that I can't upgrade or buy a better one to install in my laptop?

I'm no expert, but here is what I would do to ensure that everythign is up to snuff before finding professional help:

1: Update all your drivers to the latest stable release.
2: Update the game to the latest stable release.
3: Ensure that your laptop has adequate remaining memory (usually, 10-15% of total memory should be empty for optimal performance, although depending on your total memory this may be excessive). Don't delete things you want to keep, just make sure you aren't using up 99% of available memory :P

After doing that, if it still doesn't work, then I suggest you post on this forum:
http://community.dawnofwar2.com/

Go to Technical Support. They will be very glad to help you there, and they will have much more knowledge and experience to be able to help you than on this forum.

Is that graphic card supported? Remember that those used in laptops are usually not supported in games of this type
