Hello, I am being sent the rulebook for valentines day (Awwwww :blush ) but I am a bit strapped for cash recently being a poor student. Not letting that stop me I was going to scratch build a load of planes so that I could play this game until I get some cash through. I was going to build some ork planes at least, along with some Imperial looking ones as well. Could someone give me measurements of orc fighta's, and others so that I can get to work? Looking for wingspans and lengths and such.

The thing to really remember about Ork stuff is that they are all one-offs, they don't come off a production line or STC so there isn't any one 'magic' right or wrong size for them as long as they look credible when you stand an ork next to them. For myself, I use a wingspan of about 10" +/- 2-3" and a fuselage length to suit, but this is often dictated by the kit that's going to get bashed (1/48 scale seems about right). Dunno if that's the sort of info you were after but hope it's of some help. Good luck with the build and remember..... Built by meks, painted by grots, flown by orks. :thumbs

LOL no they're more Epic True Scale than 40K! ;) My Ork Fightas and Fighta Bombas are between 1 1/2" to 2 1/2" wingspan and 1" to 2" long, + or _ a bit! ;) That's about the right size for basic planes, obviously Fightas are smaller than Fighta Bombas. Hope this helps, check out the pics of my Air Waaagh! and that might also help. I've kitbashed a whole load of cheap plastic planes into an assorted Ork Waagh! with each plane being different. They're Trumpeter 1/350th scale WWII planes for the most part. HG
