These are based straight off the designs provided by the works of Krooza, TheSnake, and some others. Thanks to all of you for starting this off. Basically I wanted to see how my criticisms of the masters would play out on one vehicle. Mostly surrounding tank tracks.

I’ve never really liked the GW tracks and most of the modern looking tracks on ork vehicles they just seemed too ordered. The tracks here are a Krooza variant with irregular treads and the goth clothing spikes for visual interest. I needed a tank to test them on. I went with a lungbursta.

After a little while the inner mek took over and things have gotten out of hand. No really, they have. Now I have an Armored Krumpany. They still need some finishing work and detail to make them weathered and lived on (think Nightserpent’s battlewagon) and I suppose I’ll have to go buy paints again. I’ve got blue prints that I need to scan that I’ll make available to all for the Spleenrippa and the Lungbursta. Materials are plasticard, PVC plumbing, Bitz, some cardstock, the spikes (via http://www.studsandspikes.com/), and magnets.

No one thickness of plasticard was used. I worked off of a variety of thickness from 1.5 to .10 or .15 for some of the detail. When it comes to rivits I like to use a variety of thickness so the rivits are not uniform. Basically I had a bunck of odds and ends. As long as you use the supporting methods discussed by Krooza in his threads you will be fine.

The first build. Basic Russ Lungbursta.

Spleenrippa Basilisk with armored top and no indirect fire. I am very happy with the look of the wheels, they are for RC planes. Look for an online retailer that deals in remote control (RC) planes fpr the wheels. They run about 4 to 5 dollars US a pair.

Feel free to loot any, all, or part--I certainly did.

Spleenrippa Template: Designed for a sheet of Evergreen Plain Plastic card. Take note, the width of material is not taken into account here So before you begin cutting card think about what you are doing. The bottom piece of the vehicle should be thick card to prevent warping.

Looks pretty orky, good job! That saw is pretty large on the gargant however, and the bowel burna is awfully tall with that little con on the top.

I think the Basilisk gun looks awesome as is- it's not indirect firing, so this looks like one mean anti tank Basilisk. :thumbs This is one hell of a way to make an introduction. Dump all these tanks on us at once- it's just wow. :/ I love the way you've used all classic Ork tanks, and used certain doctrines to make the list feel that bit more Orky. Nice work. :cheers

If you look at the list you can see that every main vehicle can fight in hand-to-hand. The stompa represents some ork cheese. If you notice both heavy flamer sponsons built on the bottom of the buzzsaw. The arm can extend and flame (around corners!) and with ace sponson gunners I can flame hand-to-hand attackers before they attack with both heavy flamers! and then use evasive driving to fight back! Total cheese! It is a nice balance between the over size nature of the vehicles versus shooting and the shock that hand-to-hand is no sure thing to destroy them. I like the spleenrippa as a sniper tank if I wanted indirect I would use a squig catapult. If you look at the other topic you can see what I'm talking about. Thanks for ALL the comments

Thanks for the bigger pics :thumbs Do you know of any online stores that sell those wheels? This has inspired me to go and build some Old School Orky tanks.

Those are all ded good scratchbuilt tanks, and I love the improved comms too. I was just about to start work on something very similar for my gargant. Very creative use of those 'goff' studs an' spikes too!

These are just great! I would also like any templates that you might have used. Also, could you tell us what thicknesses of styrene you use for different parts of the build, so for the rivets, armour plates, main framework, etc. Those plane wheels look great, I think I'll have to use them on anything big and wheely I decide to build. Thanks for showing!

I put a spleenrippa template into the main thread for everyone to use. I'll get the lungbursta up soon and the gobsmasha (although the gobsmasha doesn't really need one). Feel free to ask any questions if you have them. :thumbs
