Hello and welcome to the Waaagh! Whilst making yourselves at home please bear in mind that this is a board dedicated to the discussion of Orks in Warhammer 40,000. Try to keep your posts on topic within relevant sections and be civil to one another. The moderators maintain the right to edit your posts or ban you by account or IP should you post anything along the lines of spam, offensive remarks or material which makes us or our sponsors liable to prosecution.

We've given the board a fairly extensive overhaul, so it's time to bring a few things to everyone's attention:

Like many other forums on the internet, we have created many different sections to cover various different types of topics. Some of our newer members start threads in the proper section, which makes things a bit messy. The benefit of having the organization is that it makes it much easier for all of us to find specific topics. Let me run through the sections to give you a clearer idea of what goes where...

++ Da WEIRDBOYZ TOWER ++

This is where we've grouped all the sub-forums that relate to the running of the board.

Da Mouth of Gork This is where you are now, obviously. It's where you'll find the forum rules. It's also for important announcements, where the HQ can send out a message to the whole community. We'd prefer to reserve this for special occasions. We have also moved the 'mugshots' thread here, as we had to cut down on image uploading in the fungus beer house.

Wot's Dis Den? This section contains lots of useful threads that are definitely worth a look at, especially if you are new to Orks or this forum. It has a lot of the common questions that are often brought up from time to time. We've conveniently collected these frequent questions in one place. This ranges from common modeling questions (what is plasticard and where can I get it??) to tactical questions (how I do I beat tin'eads??) to forum related questions (how do I get one of those nifty bad moon icons next to my name). If you have a question that you suspect has bee asked before, it's worth a shot seeing if it has been asked before, here.

Da Fightin' Pit This is where the contests and competitions happen. Pretty straight forward. You don't have to be part of the HQ to start a contest, but it has to be clearly related to greenskins (Orks and Orcs). And you'll be expected to stay responsible for it.

Dok's Serjury This section was primarily created when we were building the forum and website. Now it is more about questions related to improving the community, or technical issues.

++ JOB'S A GOOD 'UN ++

Here's where you can show off your models, share cool images of models you've found, ask advice about technique or direction, share tips, etc. Your models must be Ork/Orc-related. There are various sub-forums for work-in-progress (WIP) and painted models, so make sure you use the right one. Going forward, we'll probably be expanding the sub-forums.

++ Da SLUGGA and CHOPPA ++

Here's where WH40k stuff goes. Tactics and rules issues are discussed in Da Goff Fortress. You can post your battle reports here as well. Try to keep it Ork or generic 40K related. Army lists go in Da Klanz Rosterz.

++ CHOPPERZ and ARRERZ ++

This is where Warhammer stuff goes. Tactics, rules discussions and battle reports go in Da Shaman's Cave. Army lists goes in Black Orc's Roll Call.

++ UVVA GAMEZ ++

Fairly self explanatory, here's where you discuss other Games Workshop games... but still keep it Ork/Orc related.

++ Da KOMMUNITEE ++

This is where we've grouped the 'off topic' sub-forums. Here, established members can socialise, trade with each other and share their ideas.

Bad Moonz Emporium Trade, sell, buy stuff. Trade at your own risk - the Waaagh is not responsible for deals that go bad. Sometimes a member will see a cool deal or item on Ebay, and provide a link for other members that may be interested in it. This is not a place for established businesses to regularly sell their stock. This section is only accessible and visible to members who have shown themselves to be contributing members in other sections of the forum.

Da Fungus Beer Hall This is the place for Ork/Orc/gaming/Waaagh related topics that really don't fit anywhere else. The HQ is having a hard time drawing the line for what is appropriate and what is not. We'll have to take it on a case by case basis, but please use some common sense. This is not the place for total nonsense threads, there are plenty of other places for those types of discussions. Please also remember that this is an greenskin forum, not a religion and politics forum. And "off topic" doesn't mean "off limits". So even though some healthy clan rivalries are appreciated, outright flame wars are not.

Also, due to the OT (off-topic) nature of this section, posts in the Fungus Beer Hall do not count towards your total post count. Just like with the Bad Moon Emporium, this section is only accessible and visible to members who have shown themselves to be contributing members in other sections of the forum. In other words, be a good Grot for a while and the doors will soon open for you.

Talez of da Waaagh Our newest forum, introduced by popular demand. The place to post your fluff, whether it's a story or army background, or even a narrative battle report. Please make sure it's basically greenskin-related - no stories about beakies or panzees!

somewhat related....

++ THE SEARCH FUNCTION ++ Posted Image We often stress that you try to use the search engine before you bring up a topic that likely has been asked before. For example, I bet a poll concerning everyone's favourite Ork model has been brought up at least ten times. If people searched for older discussions, it'd save us all a lot of time. Don't be a lazy git! :nono

To all new members: Posts that de-rail legitimate conversations will be deleted, posts full of nonsense will be deleted, people that are clearly spamming in order to increase their post count will have their post counts manually lowered. A little bit of Orky text is cool, but please try to keep things coherent. This may seem overly militant to some of you, but we have been experimenting with various ways to run the ship here, and this seems to be the best way to keep it a quality community.

Just a quick reminder for the newer members who haven't yet had the chance to read the rules here (or didn't know there were any to read), or the older members who are slipping a little: Please read through the 'Da Mouth of Giork' section and familiarize yourself with our (fairly simple) rules. It's all fairly basic stuff: don't be a dumbass, don't spam, don't flame, don't make inane one-line comments or useless posts generally, and no religious or political discussion. Things have been getting a little sloppy recently, so we felt it was time to bring this up again. Danks fer yer koo-oppurayshun! :thumbs
