Its real disappointing when good ol' searchy-git fails you... Anyway, I'm looking around for a Steam Gargant (as presented in Swordwind) as I think the model could be an adequate substitue, in my Bigmob, for some of the other new gargant types given by Orkemedes. I've looked everywhere in the whole world and still - no steam. Any help or hints? Dakka???

The Feral Ork range is to be rereleased in June this year. Should be available from GW then.

Wow, looking at that release schedule I can look forward to my flea-ridden furry Beakies at the time I´m using a wheel-chair... :rolleyes

But the Eight B... Black Templars will get everything from a fresh new STC toilet to unique models... :/ How about giving the most divergent Chapter some rules (not necessary models... But rules!)?
Seems like a better idea to give the Second Founding Chapters some stuff and the "hardly-divergent" Chapters...... :scowl

Weedy gits... :whip

Anyways, the Feral Orks seems fun enough! (ta get back on topic.. :blush )! :thumbs ;)

Dogbreath- this is Epic Armageddon, and the Black Templars featured very prominently in the 3rd War for Armageddon. So cut GW some slack, even though they are releasing a FUCKING 40K BLACK TEMPLARS CODEX BEFORE ORKS, panzee AND ALL THE OTHER MAJOR FUCKING RACES!

Well, at least they released three (Ghazgkull, Feral and Freaks) Orky lists before they went into BT. Good enough for me. Unfortunately it problably also means that we won't be seeing much new greenies in the close future... Oh, and not_themilkybarkid, what did the panzee play for major part in the Armageddon war?

:lol

Well, there were 20+ Beakie-Chapters there in the 3rd Ed. war. The Sallies and Black Templars were only in that Codex becuase... Because... Well, why..? :? GW wanted more people to buy Beakie stuff and released even more different rules for them... :puke
Then the Black Templars got very popular as they´re (maybe I should say "can be")very easy to paint and are/were good in the game (well, there are people who likes their fluff as well I imagine..? ;) ).

They were hardly alone in the 3rd Armageddon War however, there were 3 Black Templar Crusades there, no idea how big they´re but there were 5 Great Companies from the Space Wolves (stand alone fighting formations like other Chapters), about 500 men each.

I guess the Space Wolves time in the sun is over (was some times since it as well).
I´m usually not very GW-negative by the way. :biggrin ;)

Not a :bleep part...

Yeah I know, makes no sense, unless GW wants everyone to play Beakies... Hmm...

Ok ok!! Enough whining from me already..! :biggrin

Black Templars 've got nothin' on Steam Gargants!!! :thumbs Ehem, to to be honest, I'm really not sure what model I'm looking for as such - my only lead are the few pictures listed in Swordwind (I'm REAL new to epic) but my only other lead was the Orkeo Sarus model (which I can't find either) so I'm simply asuming _da_boss right and the haven't quite been released yet... :scowl Krooza, if you're right - then I'll have to really do some digging to find the guy you sold yours too! ;) "Epic-Feral-range-to-be-butchered-to-make-gargant-bigmob-even-bigger": here we come! Sorry... :blush

@ Dakka Dakka, that Steam Gargant from the Epic: Swordwind book is indeed one of the new releases this Summer so it´s just to wait. :)

no worries, NtMBK. That gargant is pretty darned spiffy! :eek It doesn't appear that radically different from the other gargants, though I suspect the engine (in the rear) conveys more of a steampunk design.

Anybody expect me who finds the concept of a "feral" steam engine amusing? Why? ok for beeing more "primitive" but wasn't technology in the Orkish genetics? Well, well. I won't complain, it's an awesome mini and Epic without gargants wouldn't just be the same... :P

Good question. Perhaps being feral isn't so much about not having the know-wots, but you also have to factor in their limited resources. Maybe they just don't (yet) have access to some of the more complex machinery and supplies. So, for the meantime, they must settle for something cruder, like steam power, until they can get their greasy hands on something better.

Aaar, dere she blows. Having said that its not out yet - I can't wait to order one from England! Make a nice gargant (steam-powered or no). About Feral orks having a gargant.... Well, I guess its not an issue for me because I wont be using ferals but the prospect of the skinnies getting some firepower other than squigs (!) is indeed a nice one. Dakka!!!
