In the same vein as Shadow Wars, we now have skirmish for AoS.

Shadow War isn't really a "return" of Necromunda. I doubt highly that Skirmish is even a Community Edition rip-off like Shadow Wars is.

I suspect it's merely a patch for AoS, like WHFB Skirmish was. I think if anything is likely to be similar to Mordheim, it'll be Shadespire. But even then, it wouldn't be a proper return.

And if it turns out like Shadow War they can fucking keep it.

Also, it's only £6, which is pretty cheap. It's not going to be a standalone for that price. So it's probably an AoS patch.

Its just Aos tweaked for smaller games

"Included in the book is a linear narrative campaign, pitting two - or with some judicious tweaking, more – players against each other in a series of brutal skirmishes as your warbands fight bitterly over the incredible treasures of Shadespire. This campaign comprises six Battleplans representing a story from the murky dawn of your warbands’ first day on the outskirts of Shadespire, through to the climactic battle that decides the outcome of the whole campaign."

If it does turn out to be in the same line as shadow war was for Necro maybe it should be folded into the morheim section?

Best wait until its out first.

May the Enemies blood on your choppa never dry or your welding torch grow cold!
