Your mek shop is looking good so far Scarpia. I also like IronSharks ideas, but the other boyz have some good ones too. So many that I'm getting inspired to start my own. thumbs.gif

I have a crane arm and a few other bitz I've been hording for just such a project.

Soundsl ike a mekshop contest! (joking!) I hope you guys can learn from my screw ups.

Here's the latest update. Two outside walls are now secured, window frames cut. I intend on doing closed plasticard windows in a horitzontal blast shield shutter manner.

And I know you meks are going to get REAL jealous all of a sudden.

Look! Gooba's got a workbench, bench vise, and an anvil!

There are a lot more tools to come, but I got started on a few bits while other stuff was drying.

Yet another idea....

Instead of a trukk/wagon under construction, how about a new bomma? You could have the skel eton for one wing showing, such as ribs and suclike (look at Guru's for inspirashun). Could be miiiighty sweet, and make a change. More additions to Da Deff Skwadrun, eh?

Krroza, the anvil will go on a stump, as soon as I find the right diameter tree branch - ya krazy kid! Still - my meks gotta an anvil pphhtork.gif

Milky, the only problem with another plane, is 1. They are a lot of work to scratchbuild - or kitbash 2. It would take up too much space in the model. Remember the base will be 12 by 12, and the tower is 4 inches square, so it willl take up on full corner.

Updated pic - the outside wall is now up, and the walkway is in place. Still need a staircase where gooba is standing. the far end of the wall walk will be a weapon (grot manned) point.

frag yer Scarpia, now me mek is going on an' on about gettin' some propa workbenches, and actually sayin' he wants a shop uv his own. I shoulda never let him see dis ere thread. He's can't even keep his mind on da work at hand.

Looks good scarpia, the workbench and anvil are way cool, but I do agree that they lok a tiny bit too weedy for a orks not so gentle care.. smilingOrk.gif
The house looks good too. don't forget to add a cheesy sign "Goobas werks" or similar over the front door.. CoolOrkDark.gif

cheers

Don't blame me for you havin' a jealous mek - It was Bruznik that started all this. biggrin2.gif

Yeah, the tools are a bit weedy for my mek, but they are as close as you can get (I think) to scale, and not scratchbuild. I think they'll work when all the crap is piled up inside.

Well I got the base cut, the stairs on, the floors floored, and the base of the shed built. The longer piece of i-Beam is for the hoist.

here is a closer upper of the shed area

Looking great so far Scarp! Awesome work!

You haven't actually glued that shed roof down yet, have you? You're starting to add some detail elements that are going to be hard to paint if you attach them permanently beforehand......

--------------------
So - whenever dem doks finish staplin' yer arms back on Haky, why don't you an yer boyz come down fer a visit. We'll 'av a few squigaritas, throw a few grots around an' discuss who dis 'ere choppa really belongs to...

These Waaaghs are a cross between a mass migration, holy crusade, looting party and pub crawl, with a bit of genocide thrown in for good measure.

You know Nosher's MO, anything he paints blue is automatically his.

Oi wait, he's breakin' in... Yeaaarghhhh... Blam * Blam * Growl...

Looks good Scarp', da roof is really "fitting"... I'm really looking forward to seeing this painted.

I can imagine a meks shop just crammed full of radom bits of stuff from random battles.

I.e. Armor. weapons. vehicle parts.

I would also expect lots of work in progress kinda things.

I.e. Ork Dakka. Uge Choppas. Random Inventions. Lotsa Orky Fun.

I would expect there to be lotsa tools laying around, and lotsa grots climbing all over the place looking for stuff.

I would imagine a HUGE pile of metal that the Mek digs into and looks for bolts, sheets of Armor and little trinkets of fun!

But what you have so far is looking great as far as an exterior goes, needs more orky glyphs and I think some holes where he tested some of his new Dakka toys and maybe where some scientific endevers went wrong. cheers.gif
