Is that a beach on the base there? It makes me think that the dakka jet was launched from a carrier deck
but very cool use of space, those flying bases have so much room to work with it would be a shame not to do something interesting like that.

Looks pretty good!
However, please be aware that your images are HUGE. When you upload images to the forum without using an external image hosting website, you're using up server space, which is provided free of charge. At the moment, you're using just under 6 megs of web space for just 3 images.  Could you please edit the images and re-upload them so they take up less space? If you made the image 1/2 size, or even 1/3 size, you'll save alot more space. Either that, or you could upload them to an image hosting website (eg. Photobucket, Imageshack, etc) and link them to here - that way, they'll take up 0 server space.  Thanks!

Nice and gritty. the base is awesome! Keep with the theme it very original. I'd much rather see the enclosed canpoies though, but that's just personal preference. If I were to build more than one of these in the future, I'd probably use different copies for every model.
