Presentation of my first project result : This is a scratchbuild of Meganob/megawarboss with a base of black reach nob and big boss. I work with plastic card to make cheap meganob but especially, more violent and agressive meganob than official. Brilliant work! Some of the best meganobz I've ever seen.
Some of the craziest and best meks seem to be French - is there something in the water over there? Had a look at your blog too. Your stompa's great. I love anything that uses kinder eggs and you seem to have got hold of a giant one. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. -------------------- Ork Town III - Terrain building competition, sponsored by Ramshackle Games.
Do you need some 6th edition fortifications for your army, a new terrain piece or an 'armies on display' board? Then build it, paint it, post it and move into "da orkiest town in da ooniverse", and have the chance of winning a prize! |

Yeah I got a giant Kinder egg for Easter. I heard you can't have egg in USA because of a stupid law on toy in egg. It's unbelievable ![]() ![]() Actually, I paint meganob ^^ -------------------- |

Those mega nobz look fantastic! I thought the warboss was a dreadnought in the first pic
I think the guy with the shoulder sloping downwards is the best of the bunch. It really gives him a hulking, lumbering feel. |

One more : this is my first scratch of MegaNoband my test miniature for paint = a lot of mistakes in scratch and paint. So, I paint more and more free hand to give him a blazing/flaming style
I'm not convince by soiling in the armor. I think I'm just gonna make brown dry brush to figure rust In brief, this one is ugly (his arms can't be correctly paint because of work when I scratch him). I'm going to make another later, right now it serve it's purpose. -------------------- |

Chunkiness and bulkiness! This is how they should look, so please take note Meganob manufacturers.
They look as if they'd leave a footprint a foot deep! |

It's me again !
To start with an official MegaNobZ (Sorry for bad quality, not enough light) Then my MegaWarBoss ! I have tried for the first time a free-hand more difficult than black flame : a black moon with a weird tongue ^^. I have also tried a bionic eye for the first time too ! I started from green to yellow for that. Enjoy your comment ! Nearly : Armor view : You can leave a comment on my blog (in english if you want), it makes me happy Link of Blog : Orks Forge Link of helping file about meganobz scratchbuilt : Dossier : Scratchbuilt MegaNobZ Thanks all -------------------- |

Your painting looks great, especially the freehand flames and moon and the ork's lips and teeth.
What did you you use to shade the yellow? Is it still wet in the pics or has it dried with a gloss finish? Also, what is the resin mechanical looking bit in this guy's back? -------------------- Ork Town III - Terrain building competition, sponsored by Ramshackle Games.

QUOTE Your painting looks great, especially the freehand flames and moon and the ork's lips and teeth. For skin and face painting, I follow a french painter helping file : http://alariccantonain.canalblog.com/archi...e___/index.html It's my first painting (and some boyz before) ! QUOTE What did you you use to shade the yellow? Is it still wet in the pics or has it dried with a gloss finish? Gryphon sepia (I don't know the name in english, sorry). And yeah, it still wet. I'll make another pic tomorrow. My armour paint is : - First black chaos every where (sous-couche in french) - tausept ochre - iyanden darksun x2 - hard dry brush of golden yellow - hard dry brush of sunburst yellow - retouch and free hand in chaos black - washes (lavis in french) of gryphon sepia - soft dry brush of sunburst yellow (not on place where free-hand are) After that, with blister foam/lather -> scorched brown (rust) and boltgun metal (weathering) QUOTE Also, what is the resin mechanical looking bit in this guy's back? Thud gun squat from epic 40 000 ^^ -------------------- |

I would love to read an english tutorial! It's very informative to just see the pictures, but text would help too
The warboss looks completely bad ass! I like the fleshy skin tones around their mouths, it adds a lot of life to the faces. |
