Hi folks,
Someone recommended I start up a painting log here (my original is on the Herdstone but not strictly Beastmen) so people can see them. So I tried a new Ork skin recipe last night and am OK with it. I'm generally not the biggest fan of Knarloc Green (I like Gretching Green skin more at the moment) and this one is fairly neutral. ![]() If people want me to post everything I paint (mainly Wood Elves, Orks and Beastmen) I can do that, or just keep it to my Ork stuff. Happy painting! PS I will probably backfill this a bit with some of the Ork stuff I've painted in the last couple months. -------------------- |

You bet.
Skin Knarloc green base Catachan green plus Dark flesh shade Catachan green plus Scorched brown plus Chaos black shade Knarloc green highlight Knarloc green plus Vomit brown highlight Knarloc green plus Vomit brown plus white final highlight Armour Dark flesh plus Blood red basecoat DF plus BR plus some black shade Dark flesh plus Blood Red Highlight add more blood red a couple times and highlight more add some orange (blazing, fiery, either is fine) to the mix for another highlight add some vomit brown or bronzed flesh to he mix again for a very small bit of highlighting glaze with thinned Tamaya clear red do the last highlight again but not as much just to give it a bit of bright spot in a couple places. Here is the start of my Nob Biker squad. Just converting AoBR Nobz and random bikes lying around. Mostly to show kids in the area that with Orks you can recycle stuff if they cannot afford all the goodies. ![]() Happy painting! -------------------- |

Oh wow... the color scheme on that kan reminds me of some of the walkers from the 3rd edition codex, really like that shad of green with the red.

Hello folks,
My computer died so I'm unable to colour correct the photos much until I find another copy of photoshop. Till then here is a Stormboy I painted in about 45 minutes with a speed painting technique I found online: ![]() ![]() ![]() Happy painting! -------------------- |

I particularly like the 'brown-ness' of your speed painted Stormboy. Looks all grubby without losing the detail or muddying up other colors.

Hello folks, thanks for the kind remarks.
Finally finished my Dakkajet. I needed to bust out the airbrush to get around to some of the weathering which made progress difficult. Also at one point a blank ink splatter landed on the wing and while I did an okay job removing it I did destroy some freehand. All good though. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Happy painting! -------------------- |

Thanks kindly!
Finished my second Nob biker (this one is the Pain Boy). The process for the bike is annoyingly slow. Need to figure out how to do it with wet blending. The back-panel didn't turn out but I'll just keep trying. I also switched bikes after half-way so the hand doesn't line up. Ah well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Happy painting! -------------------- |
