hey all, long time no see. In the time since I last posted here I moved to a new state, got a new career, and made this. Enjoy!

Here's a few choice scale pictures. This dumb lunk is so big, terrain looks wonky when he's near.

More pics in a flash!

The entire model can be stripped apart, both to keep track of damage mid-game (There are nine removable armor plates representing the structure points, and all the guns and head are removable except the belly guns,) and so the entire model can be turned into terrain. (more on that in a few months!)

The interior is stuffed to the rafters with models and gubbins, there are five Meks and two Runtherders along with twenty-two Grots. I also have just about every tool from the original Battlewagon kit in there somewheres. (along with some of my favorite old Gobbos!)

Thanks for looking! As usual any questions, comments, criticisms and suggestions are appreciated!

Gosh! That Baneblade seems so weedy! Good job. Gork and mork are very proud (and probably fighting over whom is this beauty depicting winkingOrk.gif ). The only downside is.. It's not yellow! I love the crew, I love the size, I love the guns. Everything seems to work perfectly here. Really good job, mate. One thing I'd like to see is a comparison with a stock Stompa if it's possible.

Now THAT is what I call a great Gargant, it looks like it eats titans for breakfast!

I absolutely love it, just wow. The fact that the outer parts can be removed to represent damage and such attention to detail has been taken with the crew is astounding. Very impressive paint job too. I can't really think of a criticism (which is unusual for me) as everything about this just oozes Orkyness.

I'm inspired enough by this that "Build great gargant" is going on my to-do list laughingOrk.gif .

We who have failed, or the Humans, on the road to ruin in their turn? And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn't even bother to ask! We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude."

Whats funny is I run a whole lotta Badmoons, The Great Gargant was real close to being yellow! In the end I went with generic colors, so he matched Orks the battlefield over. I don't currently have a finished stompa on hand, so alas I cannot give you a comparison shot! I'll be bringing it to the closest game store in a month or so, I'll see if I can grab one then.

Elf shoes? All that killy stuff and it's got a pair of elf shoes? Must have been one of the grot's ideas. Really love that you went all out on the interior so that this has more interest as it sits on display. Also like the graffiti rather than just dags, checks, and glyphs. This is one of two gargants that I would have to say are the best I've seen. Maybe the best for the extra milage on the interior. Great work.

Welcome back Pox! Glad to see you return, and love that you're still dedicated to building stupendously ambitious ork vehicles.

The detail on this is amazing. The fact that you built it to be modular, is amazing. The fact that you painted the interior of this beast, so that it continues to look good stripped of half it's bitz - that's just mad.

Really, really well done.

That freehand skull is so damn epic that it's easy to get distracted from all the other bloody fantastic things going on. The stompa's head is cracking, love that cockpit stuck on the side and the jagged teeth, the myriad different glyphs which cover the thing, the awesome right arm and bunch of belt-fed guns on the left, that sheer attention to different kinds of weathering, the old Necromunda building pieces! aha! Look at those bad boys. God that is amazing.

In the end, it was the Sunday afternoons he couldn't cope with, and that terrible listlessness which starts to set in at about 2:55, when you know that you've had all the baths you can usefully have that day, that however hard you stare at any given paragraph in the papers you will never actually read it, or use the revolutionary new pruning technique it describes, and that as you stare at the clock the hands will move relentlessly on to four o'clock, and you will enter the long dark teatime of the soul.

I converted a model I made from scratch about seven years ago. The first time I built the Gargant it took about four months, the recent upgrade took about two months.

I love my genie boots! I wanted a few things on there that were a bit odd. Pointed boots seemed like a good idea at the time.

I'm taking a break from big stuff for a while, I want to work on some Battlewagons, Buggies, Deffdreads and Looted Wagons for the next few weeks.
The next big thing I have after I get recharged will be to finish the terrain that I originally built the Great Gargant for.

I actually started with the factory wall for the Gargant, but had to stop when I realized I would need the exact size of the finished Gargant in order to complete the factory wall. The Gargant sits in an alcove, and where the armor plates hook into it will instead be used to hook scaffolding, turning the entire thing into a huge Necromunda-style board.

Here's where its at right now.

The board is four feet wide and three feet tall. In addition to the factory wall, I'll take all the other removable pieces from the Great Gargant and turn them into terrain. (While still leaving it able to be re-assembled as a working machine, of course!)

Thanks to everyone for all the kind words, I'm gonna go build a Battlewagon!

Wonderful job.

I liked it as a whole model.

When the thread revealed the removable parts for battle damage, I was like, "Niiice!"

Then the interior shots of the grotz at work, "Wohoa wow!"

Finally, the factory wall board, "Dat mek is out of his mind!"

Nice Job = 5 choppa rating.

Best Great Gargant ever!........... apart from mine winkingOrk.gif
Love the way the plates come off to reveal all the gubbinz and krew.
The head... in particular the windowed section that reminds me of a WW2 Bomber, is great.
