OK final bits done, just some checks and dirtying up, with damage, rust and exhaust fumes etc.
As far as I'm concerned it's finished! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

And now some comparison shots with my Fighta Bommer. And yes, the FB is much cleaner, redder (and flamey-er) and has longer wings and fuselage! That's partly because the original kit I used was that much bigger and I had nothing else to compare to as I built it.
However, it does belong to the Cult of Speed and as such I think it bears out my "fluff" as the Blasta Bommer has a far more "Goff" feel, which again, fits in nicely with the added Dakka and the rest of my army. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It does however want to make me go back and dirty up the FB a bit! Hmmm! C&C always welcome! HG |

Thanks and no, they are correct with the ailerons at the back like they're meant to be. It's just the odd shape created when you cut and chop the actual wings and flatten them out.
I think it adds to the planes' charm! HG |

They both look awesome, perhaps a little prestine for my taste, lacking battlescars and rust ect but nevertheless great models and class paint jobs.

The blasta bomba looks fantastic! I love all the dakka (and all the big nose dakka) on it. The Kustomization of the rear (with the open rebar look) is very cool.
I like the riveted skull head on the bottom. A nice easter egg for the poor sods getting bombed by this beasty. -------------------- Warlord of Da Black and Blue Wreckin' Krew

It looks very nice, perhaps a bit too clean, but a battle or two will fix that... I realy think that the bulky design of the front makes it look more orky, it just does work for the beakies... but it still makes me wonder if there are enough engine bits to keep it flying...
And good Gork is there many gunz... I not sure how many, but when in doubt... go for overkill. anyways, very nice job, keep it up -------------------- build it, paint it, post it

Thanks guys!
Appreciate the kind words. As for Dakka, I worked it so that with the top turret, front guns and cockpit side guns, together with the nose guns, there are 18 barrels all facing forward, enough to make a Deff Arsenal 3D6 maximum number of shots! I also have the 4 Big Shootas down each side, although they do look twin linked, but they'll "count as" 4 x Big Shootas. Same as the 2 rear facing shootas "count as" twin linked. I doubt anyone would challenge me on that! And as for being clean, the pics don't really do it justice, it's not so pristine in RL. You can see some of the black marks and rust on the top down shot, and in reality the red isn't so vibrant and as such looks more dulled and beaten up. However, that's the trouble with photos, they never really give the true colours do they? HG |

However, that's the trouble with photos, they never really give the true colours do they? Amen to that. I should, but don't want to spend the time making a light box to really show off my models (lazy git I realize, but there are so many to build and paint and no place to store the light box). It really does look fantastic, makes me want to get the model and orkify it, but it is so low on the priority list for the moment that I'll look at yours and dream on. -------------------- Warlord of Da Black and Blue Wreckin' Krew

Can blasta bommas act as a transport? if so adding a few stormboyz boosting out the back can only add to the orkyawseomness of it all, but thats just MO, I like it alot more than the other bomma, much more orky

Thanks.
There is an option for transporting 20 Storm Boys, and I guess having a couple hanging out the back would be very cinematic. However as I haven't yet painted up any Storm Boys it's sort of a moot point at the moment! I do have a mob of about 16 metal SB's waiting to be done, but they'd be too heavy and would tip the scales on the weight in the wrong direction for stability on this thing. It is still a little tail heavy as it is! HG |
