I pinched the idea of the flintlock firing pin (I think thats what its called) off a bloke on this forum but alas it was so long ago I dont remember his name =( My apologies for not giving credit where credit is due sir. I'm sure a lot of you guys know who I mean. |

Wow. Talk about inspiration for painting my own Flash Gitz. These models are way impressive man, good job.
Did you wet blend the various blues on the boom wagon? That is really a flawless transition in shading. I mean, really, super good job. I hope you don't mind, but I am now going to totally loot the cybork arm-into snazzgun idea. Probably not with p card though. Is that the microart studios head? It looks great. I'm anxious to see more Flash Gitz. I know they get a bad rep, but I plan on making a full ten man squad and using them regularly. Will you be making the rest of the unit? And last question: are you washing your yellows, and if so are you using ogryn flesh or gryphonne sepia? Good job, and thanks again for the inspiration. |

from the look of it seems to be a shading technique similar in style to the red's that Uberdark comes out with.... hmm, still, pretty awesome stuff though. that nob arm conversion idea looks to be a perfect fit in any flashgitz mob, and should make a nice accompaniament to the weapons that maxmini sells. good good -------------------- Of course all my topics are pic heavy, you know why? because people don't want to open 12 hyperlinks a page! it stands to reason
"The act of converting is not a matter of creating the best weapon ever, its creating the best weapon ever but by using bits and pieces that anyone can use but no one has ever thought use in that way." - Shadow. |

Thanks for the comments kind words guys.
@ Little mek and Nazda, there is no wet blending here, just layering/shading woteva its called. I use the Cygnar blues from Privateer Press paint range (P3 Paints) once its all done I went over and applied tamia weathering powders "Soot" color to darken parts of the hull, this just happened to have a kind of "Create-a-transition-of-colours" effect which, while I was happy with, wasnt actually intentional. And yup, the head is from Maxmini, I thought I'de take a chance and buy some and I didnt regret it in the leaste, they are amazingly sculpted and very crisply cast. /cheers Kanvass |

Holy gorkamoly!
that is some nice tank and flashgit kombo! this is some of the most proppa conversion and paint sequences i've seen! i am usually shy to go brightly coloured on my orks, but your tank proves its very possible looks stunning with popping colours, yet appropriately dirty! two thumbs up nice work! |

Nice work, so nice in fact that I had a spare AoBR nob left over from my Meganobz conversion, and have started to convert a similar Flash Git.
