Right, then!
I slapped this together last night. I got a lot more done than I intended, so it's about halfway done already, but... I want to post it and get some feedback. My two buddies who play WFB and 40k were over. I showed them the tower I was working on, with and without the tophat, which I added for a lark (i was going to build a more reasonable roof, but thought it was funny). To our surprise, we all actually liked it better with the hat on. So, what do you folks think? This is without the tophat, and its kind of an unfair comparison because it's bare without it; I will definitely spruce it up a bit either way. Comments, please? |

As you can see, it is mostly made from bulkhead and plasticard. I plan on Orking it our some more, here and there, and definitely covering up more of the plasticard with rivets and Orky bits. The doors open, and will be covered with scrap metal and other Orky bits as well.
The tophat gives it slightly more humorous aspect, but I find it very Orky. I will convert the top to have ramparts and guns and such, either way. |

Looking good with the top hat its a vast improvement. You could turn the body of the top hat in to a kan turrent like off the stompa shoulder and arm it with a big grabba or a big shoota.

Thanks for all of your input!
Hey, Fishspit... I had the same thought about the stompa, but I prefer tanks and really need some scenery. Plus, I have more bulkheads where that came from. One question: what's a barry shot? |

A "barry shot" is a shot with a standard ork trooper next to the model in question for a sense of scale.

Thanks, that really gives me a sense of scale. Now you should probobly just plate up the "hat" some and it looks pretty good. Maybe make a base for it as well? Looks good.
