So i finally managed to take pics of them, not good pics though!! :(
I'm posting them to say "hey, i did part of my threat!"

squad1. They have stikkbombz!! ;)
Posted Image

squad2. shootas.
Posted Image

squad3. 'ard boyz. I know, they're not so much armoured, but they are the only orks in my force to have shoulder pads, so it's ok. ;)
Posted Image

tabletop ready IMHO. :)

Wow! Would you look at that. The different colours looks great, and I love those conversions. I had to look closely to see some of them, like the boy with the small choppa and a trophy head in his hand. The more dynamicly posed boyz look good too. I also like the removal of those top spikes on the furred helmets, makes the army look more cohesive. I do the same thing.

The 'ard boyz look great, I don't think they need much. You could add a couple of those bear-trap-looking metal jaws to remove even the smallest shadow of a doubt. Could I get a closer look at those Nobz? The PKs on them look sharp, eh. :yes

Da old ways are da best. Mekanikal? Weedy! Wheeled? Weedy! If it can't cross da desert, it's no good ta me. - Warboss Ragnarokk 'Ardskull

actually i washed the weapons, all the other parts have highlights (everything except the boots) or are drybrushed (skin, metals). But yes, from the pics they seem really plain. And yes, i don't enjoy painting that much. They have a camo scheme on the trousers...but it's very dark, you can hardly see it in real light more or less. I'll work on the pics quality...that is one aspect that could be improved a lot!!!

these are the trukks of the mobs posted earlier in the thread...note that they match the mob's colours...visually it's nice, and for the opponent being able to tell mobs apart during a game without asking is really good.

They are very nicely painted sir! I really like all the bits and poses, and the way that on the first squad all of the gloves, belts, and pants all were camoed up. It really makes the squad look very uniformed. Nice! :thumbs

Your painting ain't that bad, I like your camo, and I really like the idea of different colours in different squads, kinda makes me think of several warbands joining in a waaagh. Even if you do hate painting it does get easier once you pass your first 1000 pts. Orkamedes
If it wuz EZ evryone cud do it!

Just Cause you shouldn't do it doesen't mean you don't, and just cause you can't do it doesn't mean you shouldn't try.

For completeness sake here's the warboss. He was posted much time ago in the mek's garage, but i'm adding him here since it's my only painted ork that's not featured in this thread ;)

here it is, in his mighty simple glory:

hope you like him/my work!

C&C more than welcome as always!!

help needed:
i'm wondering if i should bother highlighting the boota and shirts of my orks (both black) and the camo on the vehicles and trousers...not sure...any ideas? Should i or is it ok like this?
I'm thinking that leaving some base colours not highlighted focuses attention on the highlighted details. But actually i simply don't know how to highlight camo in a decent way and boots/shirts are fairly hidden really, plus black is complicated to highlight...:?
thanks!

Different color schemes in order to differenciate squads... Camo schemes... beakies and fish'ead parts... Your way of thinking is dangerously non-ork, you untrustworthy git! Anyway, I like your army :thumbs

I really like how you have fit in all of the looted parts, but not to the point of uselessness. Painting looks great also. I wouldn't bother highlighting the details now because the highlighted parts will stand out more (Personal opinion.) Only thing I can think of is adding a little more "Ork" to trukk3. Hope the pic makes some sense, didn't have much time.

They look really good - just a bit clean for an ork army. I would think you might want to show some battle damage or paint chips at least on some of the armour. Just my two bits. BB :thumbs

Look great! Really sharp and clean. Different than the usual dirty, banged-up orks. You have a nice style!
