dont forget....sukigod has leprosy and you should not vote for him.
honestly i thought i had this contest in the bag, and then suki had to go and pull an amazing paint job straight out of his arse. a brilliant looking piece and awesome build. i think this has turned out to be a great piece. the only thing i see that could use some work is the big boom logo on the last picture could probably have some more blending on it. but that is getting incredibly nitpicky. so thanks again to everhyone for a great month and awesome support you have showed suki and myself. now get out there and vote. hehehe. |

This was a really tough choice! It surely was. I think both are great in design and paintjob alike, but since you put a vote to it, i had to choose. The two of you did a awesome job on the wagons, kudo's to you both and thanks for letting us be a part of the whole building and painting stages (no matter who wins, atleast you both got damn fine looking LW's out of this -------------------- In the grim dark future, there will only be brightly painted armies.

well done guys, these are both awesome in their own ways. Ubers paint job is brilliant but I prefer Suki's build. Arghhhhh too hard to decide!
in the end I had to think which one would I most like to own. this has been a great challenge to follow over the last month, nice one. |

It took me a VERY long time to decide, I cycled through several different methods of deciding.
For modelling, I decide Suki's was the best. For painting, Uber's For which I would most like to own, Suki's (simply because I don't like speed freaks like stuff so much) BUT, although I seemed to be edging towards Suki's.... at the last moment my mouse leapt onto Uber's name in the voting screen. I think that although they are almost equally good, I found that I loved Uber's most. So, congrats to both amazing models though I think that Uber's is best, though only by a tiny bit! A little C&C: Uber: I LOVE those chains! Around the pipes, that's what sealed my vote I think. Suki: Your cannon, I must say is better, an amazing piece. But like many have commented, I don't think it is quite orky enough, I like the OTT style of Uber's more I think, though for neatness you are certainly the winner, and your plasticard work I believe is cleaner. But I like the over the top orkyness of the Organ of Deff. Congrats to both! It's a been an absolute pleasure voting! -------------------- QUOTE I also brought in the new year by painting, although it was painting the inside of a toilet. - Drew Da Destroya ('appy new year thread)“There won't be any flogging on this one.” – Kaptun Krum (Book club thread) Sproston Green’s reply - “Owwww. *slinks off, dragging whip*” |

Truly tough decision both are awesome conversions and both have awesome paintjobs.
Though I think Sukis paintjob is slightly better than ubers. My only complaint is that Sukis isn't really orky enough (compared to ubers). |

I can't honestly believe the folks who think my paintjob is better than Ubers - It's the thing I know, without a doubt, that he cleans my clock at. His blends are awesome and wish I could have pulled off a similar effect on the boom gun glyph (lord how I tried!).
I also don't know what to say about the voting, I thought for sure Uber was going to smash my measly wagon ta bits with his daring and very artistic interpretation of Speed Freek. I love it and would think it'd would not only look sweet on the field, but intimidate the enemy into submission! Fantastic competition Uberdark and I agree, another competition, another month, just not around the Holidays! And along with a great time, we both have awesome new Wagons to add to our Waaagh! Thanks to everyone who watched and voted. Here's to everyone involved and a Happy New (Green!) Year! -------------------- |

Sorry Uberdark, but the build is just a bit too Chaotic and jaggy for me. Props for technical skills and painting, but my tip of the hat goes to Suki.
-------------------- No, dis is no yer fing. I stole it fair and square. 'Sides, it's painted bloo now.

Well, I feel a bit cheated by not getting to vote until after Uber's concession, however I'm going to lend my two cents anyway.
First off this was a very cool thing to happen... two Mek's going head-to-head in one thread. The fact that it was so evenly matched made it golden. I am a bit surprised the voting isn't closer at this stage since both of these are such excellent builds and even better paint jobs. You guys are both tops. Uber's build is friggin' orky and wonderfully original. This is the sort of piece that will draw eyes wherever he goes to play. The paint is... well... I just can't add to what folk have said before. The glyphage gets a double Suki's work is orky and I don't give a rat's knickers what anyone else says in that regard. It is just less OTT than uber's. Suki's detailing goes to the Nth degree, so it does not surprise me that Oddballz would favor this'n. The boom gun is drool-worthy. In fact I believe it was the deciding factor for me. Give a mek wood, it would. Suki gets my vote. Mostly because he hit all my personal touch points. If I were to score points on these babies there wouldn't be a very big spread. You guys are both master meks in my book. -------------------- Orks -- comic relief in the grim darkness of the far future.

His blends are awesome and wish I could have pulled off a similar effect on the boom gun glyph (lord how I tried!). I totally agree, Uber's paint job was both the best I've ever seen on a vehicle (better than golden demon IMHO) and probable the best I will see for a while. The blending is to dye for!
