My local Games Workshop store recently held a small painting competition with a winter theme. I decided to take an idea I have had for some time and turn it into models - Eskimo goblins!
The models are converted from Skull pass goblins. At first I had planned to paint them quickly and let them rely on the concept itself. But once I started painting them I decided to take some time with them and paint them as well as I could. And now that they are complete I am very happy with the result. And they won the competition. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What do you think? |

I think they're cool. (pun intended
It proves you can paint and greenstuf. You should go for an entire army of those. It might take you a while but it would be original. |

Well, let me congratulate you on the win, ya crafty git. What was the prize? The gobbos look great. You should make them a seal squig and a squiq-sled (chariot).

Grattulerar~
It's a really stunning yet simple theme you got there, frosty moons keeps popping up in my head when I look upon them. As mentioned you should go for an army of these, or perhaps a warband or a 750 points force, I bet it'd be a great sight on the battlefield. -------------------- Secondly, it's Snikrot, he can sneak with squeeky penguin slippers if he want to. Damn right he is, he's so damn sneaky he can get across a minfield covered in bubble wrap while wearing his squeeky penguin slippers and neon green poncho, and still nobody will notice him |

Thank you.
About building an army: It would be fun, but considering the time they took to make compared with what they cost in points I'm not sure it's realistic. I might add some more things in the future and who knows, it might turn into a small force some day. @Grotskul: The prize was that I got to choose anything up to a certain cost. I chose the new nobz box. (And they're sweet!) A chariot-sled was actually one of the things I considered doing instead of the small unit. If they turn into an army they will definately get sleds. The squig seals was a good idea! I was wondering how to incorporate squigs into the theme. |

Awesome! You've done a great job...I would have said they came that way. I also agree that you should do a whole army of these. I doubt anyone else would have a set!
