I liked it so far, waiting to see the finished model. The arm blending into the waepon was a referece to Apocalypse too? I mean, his weapons are also his limbs, not just cybork modifications, which he transforms at will as he sees fit, right?

True, but it looks less meldy and more gun glued to arm stumpy. What we are saying is a more crude, muscly transition would look better.

As for suggestions, look back through this thread, it is ripe with them. I agree with Zagursnik it is looking unfinished right now, but a little work and you could have yourself a proppa as 'ell warboss.

Now, git ta wurk! whip.gif

Allrighty, I took all of your suggestions serious, scrapped the gun arm and started making a new one. This one's still unfinished, as I'm trying to decide whether to sculpt the shoulder plate or just add a converted Dreadnought armour plate. I think I'll redo the PK arm too, but all in good time. Now, to show the major changes to the model:

Like I said, the gun arm was completely scrapped. Maybe I'll get to use it on another model someday. The new arm is much more buff. To make for a little metal integration, I decided to use a cog as the elbow joint. I also sculpted additional lower arm muscles to beef up the gun "handle". The gun itself received an ammo magazine instead of a drum, and a proppa muzzle.

I also added two pistons to the legs to make them seem a little less plain. I'm not sure if I'll do anything on the back legs, though, since they'll most likely be covered by the War-Kilt.

So what d'you guys think? Look more proppa?

the legs let it down fer me - they look like plasticene(spelt?). when you first posted them i thought that the sausage shapes were just the base onto which you'd add muscles or torn clothing or whatever. i suggest you don't leave them how they are.

Huh, they do look kinda flat, don't they... Well, okay, I understand that, but I don't really see a point in adding much more detail to them since the biggest part of them will be covered anyway. Maybe I'll try to sculpt some folds on or something like that, don't know yet.

Has anyone got some sort of idea for the legs?

Righto, gun arm's finished so far, unless someone's got any major complaints about it. I'm actually very pleased with the outcome.

C&C welcome smilingOrk.gif.

Edit: Gork damn it, forgot the pics unimpressed.gif .

Arm is looking mighty proppa now! The cog is truley a nice touch thumbs.gif

One nitpick though, the cloak-ey bit looks like it's flowing a wierd direction, but thats minor. As for the legs, muscle them, pant's them, do somthing. The pistons do make it better, but not much.

Right, quick update:

I've been working on the second arm and legs. I'm pleased with the arm so far, the legs, well, yeah. I've sculpted some folds and stitches. I think they won't look so plain anymore after this. I can't say I'm really satisfied with them, but I'm afraid that's as good as it's gonna get.

Pics tonight.

Edit: No pics tonight, gonna be in Vienna again.

contrary to the orky thinking of 'do it fasta! i wanna blast sumfin'!' you really should go by the 'if a job's wurf doin it's wurf doin' right.' thinking.

you've payed for the head, you're planning on it being a centerpiece for your army, so don't sell it short. if you leave it and paint it you'll look back in a while and thing "i'm still not that pleased with it...", believe me i've done it.

Okay then, here's some pics of how he looks atm. I tried to sculpt some folds into the pants (see last picture), added pistons over that, and also some stitching on the thighs. I also resculpted his right arm to change the pose to look like he's about ta hit sumfin'.

Well, just see for yourself. Here are the pics:

Now I need everyone to remember that almost 80% of the legs will be covered by the War-Kilt. Aside from that, go wild and comment/criticise your eyes out!
