So are you going to go all out with this? I mean make all your Boyz be in Trukks that are little more than dingies (sp?) with tracks or wheels? And will you have a pair of Destroyers on treads accompanying the Carrier using Looted Vehicle rules and Boomguns? Warboss have a little Admiral's hat on and be weilding a huge anchor in one hand as his big choppa? Harpoon gun in his other hand to count as his shoota? Kommandos decks out like Navy SEALS? This is pretty fun theme for an army, let us know how far you take it. Also we want a pic of the Carrier primed so we can get a definitive look at how all the pieces go together without being distracted by color.

quick question.... the basis of your wagon looks strikingly familiar.... was the carrier something use for little micro machine-esque airplanes and such? Did it have little catapults to launch the planes? It looks a helluva lot like something I use to have when i was younger

I know that some WWII amphibious vehicles were known affectionatly as "Ducks" (spinoff on the acronym for them) as for your War'ead, why not make a spinoff on Good Ol Cap'n Blighe? (tho bet ur Cap'n will have less mutinies, Ar)

I actually have been working on a themed speed freak army very similar to this, however mine makes use mostly of looted skimmers and crude rocket propulsion. I'm very curious to see how your idea work out, please keep up the good work.

Do they benefit from the 'Fleet of Flipper' rule?
I think water wings and rubber rings as well. Particularly on the grots. (And then thinks Cybernetically augmented Squig-Sharks for no good reason...) -------------------- ...Hi, my name's Dave and I'm an Orkaholic...

i have idea as to what you can use for bikes, on top gear they showed people who had discovered snow mobiles could go across water at high enough speed.

First footsloggers done - 30 Scuba boyz (3 big shootas and a nob with claw)
![]() now for the beach boys - my first orkclination was to go all surfie boyz but tried this model as an example of a body builder - and the hero click it came from - have about ten of these and will do different poses -- am very proud of the "banana hammock" i added to the model, and the abs. will add weapons tomorrow - pistol and barbell? ![]() and of course the surf ork - with the traditional "hang loose" and jams on ![]() suggestions or comments -- thought i would mix the two? ![]() again need 30 sluggas - all will have top knot head - thought of mixing 20 surfies, 10 bodybuilders but willing to be led here... -------------------- Nothing to see here. a few updates
surfers needed propulsion - luckily there are grots ![]() madboy ![]() fantasy reuse ![]() now with "grot powa" ![]() andi completed my prototype for a kommando - still needs his knit hat, lots of smoothing and i feel he is not cartoony enough -- need to think about that as he swims under the dunes if its going to be all sharks, they will be the "sand sharks" - but may branch out to other sea life -- making them the "wet tings" ![]() Reactions? -------------------- Nothing to see here. Move along.

I was initially thinking the Surfers could be Stormboyz... but I love the "grot powa", and I'm thinking maybe they're 'ard boyz now. The surfboard could totally deflect a couple shots. And that Kommando is great, really nice work on the base.
If you flesh out the beach boyz idea some more, you could have some Volleybrawl players... A big spiked beach ball could probably count as a slugga (the ork Spikes it at whatever he happens to be charging?) -------------------- However, as we know, Gorkamorka favours the hopeless optimist and players who hold back on their shots should be jeered loudly.

Did A ton of stuff this weekend that needs polishin' and orkin'
but you can get the drift (sorry -- puns a way life) first Kommandos ![]() ![]() they are "ray", "sand shark" and "fishstick" (say the last one out loud a few times) - they need some smoothing and a bit o detail....but are part of "Da Wet Tings" Second DeffDread and Kan these need a bit of TLC but he basic outlines are there - remember these will have swimmie rings around their middle as a finished product ![]() ![]() and lastly, completed a crap load of surfer sluggas - now up to 20, 10 more to complete ![]() hey there's no crying in 40K! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() thanks for looking. suggestions welcome. I know these guys are a little rough but they will be smoothed out -------------------- Nothing to see here. Move along.
