Ok, maybe not a fast one thanks to some subtle hinting in a PM, but it was still at least a walking-speed-one.
So here I am, all stinking and home from work, when I come across a big ol' box waiting for me, return adress not indicating much. The only clue to its origins: an Ork skull next to the words "this side is the top." Hoping it's brownies from my grandma (all signs pointed towards that, and I was hungry), I quickly dug in to find the next best (and tastiest) thing: pimpin' Lootas from the one, the only, the Ein! Ok, enough intro. Onto the piccies. First off, the mob as a whole (comprising of 3 Autocannon teams and a Nob). ![]() Close-ups of the Nob. Note the sick chainsword. ![]() ![]() Now, the teams. These guys would be sick enough based solely on their modeling, but Ein went one step further with (gasp) magnetized bases! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome gift Ein, especially since I was just about ready to give up on building my own Lootas. On a side note, my avatar is a special sneak peak of my gift, just gotta hope it arrives soon, or I'll get worried. -------------------- |

@ Hammerz: Yep, it's a Termi Chainfist, and they're sitting on a Carnifex box (my bro plays Tyranids).
@ Gereth: Well, as long as they don't have walnuts... @ Plasma: Wait...your grandma doesn't use crude, death-life glyphs to mark her baked goods? I guess Maine is just backwards. -------------------- |

Hey! Glad you got this!
I was worried they wouldn't arrive intact, but they seem to be made of 'ard enough stuff to survive the trip, even with 6+ saves. Every other post I read about you suggested you needed lootas of some sort, and a bit of research suggested that Autocannons were one of the most effective heavy weapons for lootas to grab, so I figured I'd go for that. The Nob was a bit of a funny story. I thought a loota nob would love to grab a chainsword offa some dead 'umie, so I began building it. It wasn't until I built it that I realized how tremendously I had overshot the size I was going for... so it then turned into a looted Eviscerator, of a sorts. He looked ridiculous holding it, and barely balanced, so I thought slung across the back might be a better choice. I apologize again for the lack of proper mold line removal on some of the bits - I have been evicted from my normal working area by houseguests for the past few weeks, so I didn't have all of the tools I usually use available to me. I actually took a bunch of photos to throw on The Warforge for posterity, but I haven't put them up so as not to ruin anyone's fun. I think I might now, and when/if you paint them I would love to include those as well. I hope they do ya well! Merry Summer Waaaghmas! P.S.: Utan - I am there every Monday and Friday. You should come visit! -------------------- |

In response to Ein's modesty:
1) I'm glad you're a poor judge of Chainsword size. 2) Moldlines on these guys? You should see my army, they put these moldlines to shame 3) "When/if" I paint them? These guys made me wanna work on the Deffskullz again all on their own. They'll be getting painted the week after this coming one (done with work for the summer). -------------------- |

Ein,
Fantastic work! Great customization as well as a lot of character! What type of paint scheme are you working with on these guys? Are you going to use your ice blue combination on these guys? Awesome gift -------------------- Gentlemen...welcome to the Lorax effect.. those wishing to learn it be warned...part of the process involves snorting a gerbil and whacking yourself with a clawhammer. Lorax: Da MacGyver uv da Waaagh! *The Lorax of the Bleeding Grin Effect reffers to models so cobbled toegther with different parts & bitz that ya can't tell whats what until the first coat of paint hits the plastic, metal, pape mache or whatever else it is you found in the garage or under the sofa to build with.
