Nice, nice. The one thing I think would make this guy better would be to darken the skin a shade. I know it's really late in the painting to be suggesting this sort of thing, but I really think the contrast to the light-colored coat would make him look dead sexy. You might even be able to pull it off merely by giving him a couple thin light washes of DA green. Just my two cents.

Lookin' good, Kurgan.

Just wanted to praise your work a bit, so I'll just say I take my hat off for you Kurgan!!!

A little suggestion, the dark grey on the PowerKlaw bitz don't show much detail, I think a slight lighter shade of grey would do the trick, alongside some chipped paint.

Keep up the good work!

THis in an extremely nice model/conversion. I dare Krooza to say otherwise. I am a littlepuzzled about your choice of colors for the clothing. His clothing would appear to be very Blood Axe, but the coloring (browns) very Snakebite. Then there is the Goff style shoulde pads. Now I am not all that familiar with your stuff, so if this is a clan of yer own, then I retract my querry, as you can have what ever the 'ell you want.

THat being said, I like your paint style for the flesh. Could you please give a quick break down of the colors you used?

laughingOrk.gif laughingOrk.gif laughingOrk.gif There is nothing specifically Snakebite about brown gear or Goff about Checks! winkingOrk.gif

My Orks are Blood Axe through and through. choppa.gif They all wear desert cammo (dark brown and tan) with lots of checks and daggs and the odd bit of red armour/tattoo/etc.

The colours used on the Warboss's skin are:
Base-coat of Orkhide Shade, Mid-tone of Catachan Green, then progressively thinner layered lines of Knarloc Green, Gretchin Green and Goblin Green and finally a tiny higlight of Rotting Flesh. biggrin2.gif

You should probably change the name of this thread from "All-Plastic" to "Mostly-Greenstuff" at this point. winkingOrk.gif

Great work though, seriously. He's a freaking monster no matter how you look at him, exactly what a Warboss should be. More than anything else I'm amazed you used Chimera tank bits as a Klaw and it's actually size proportional! That guy's gotta be even bigger than the pics make him out to be. Can we see him next to a Wraithlord or Carnifex?

I apologize for necro'ing the thread, but it has been more then a year since I went past the Waaagh (soz boyz!) and the last spot I posted was about the, then, beginningstages of this model.

I love how it came out, I especially like the cammo painted coats and how the head came out after the paintjob.

++++!

I dont see how that is a very good reason for re-erecting a post as you clearly no the rule about (therodmacy*) and have delibartly broken it so you can say it came out nice and yes i agree its very nice but really you shouldnt bring back a thread for this and if you have been gone and forgotten some of the rules I would read them again. But on a better note nice model Kurgan .

*couldnt spell it but think its spelt like that.
