Hmmm... I'll have to see if I can put something together (I've got a load of CoD buildings that have had all the basics put together, which have been lounging around for some time)

I have a building that would be perfect for turning into da drops!
(darn, It's too big, but I'll think of something to do with one of my other recumbent buildings)

Welcome aboard guys, I've added your names to the list. thumbs.gif

Waagh Boss Tep'ork - Armageddon souvenir shop sounds like a good idea. Guess it would come under Merchant's Store so won't add as a separate category.

Magos - I wondered who'd go for the drops. biggrin2.gif

Ork Town III - Terrain building competition, sponsored by Ramshackle Games.

Do you need some 6th edition fortifications for your army, a new terrain piece or an 'armies on display' board?

Then build it, paint it, post it and move into "da orkiest town in da ooniverse", and have the chance of winning a prize!

Wow! Great idea for a contest!

I read this thread, made a list of the projects I have on the go at the moment, allocated deadlines and a rough number of days each one will take to complete. It seems I have over a years-worth of work to do in the next six months! crybaby.gif

So I'm in! laughingOrk.gif

Not sure which building type yet - I'll have a think!
Maybe the Air-Traffik Kontrol Tower.... CoolOrkDark.gif

Thank for signing me in!About your idea (a good one)for a picture of the whole town, it will be interresting to add some link on the picture (such as GW new release pictures), i explain:
For exemple it will be cool to get close up and details of one building by clicking on the structure in the whole town picture, like that with one picture we are able to appreciate all the participants works.
Hope you understand me,Bye!! cheers.gif

Welcome aboard WarbossKurgan. cheers.gif

DoKrazy - I was thinking of doing something like that, maybe link to the thread and show all the photos when you click on a building. After the competition's finished I'll post some ideas and see what feedback I get.

16 kompetitors in around 2 days is pretty good going. Make sure you all spread the word, Ork Town will be the place to be seen this summer. thumbs.gif

I'm not 100% sure if I can do da drops without the piece of scenery I had envisaged, but I do have a piece that screams 'lookout post' in serious need of some attention, so I'll most likely go with that. (I had given thought to 'air defence', but it'd probly fall over with all the gunz I'd like to keep flyers away winkingOrk.gif )

Scenery.... Hm... I have all these stupid ideas, and someone wants to give me an outlet. If I ever get my HD formatted so I can create new posts, I'll join.

I've had a severe case of RLS (Real Life Syndrome) lately and haven't done jack hobbywise and I don't really know if it's going to let up any time soon. But I'm gonna try to get in this anyway. I'm not real good at buildings so that means this contest is a must (only way to force myself to learn). winkingOrk.gif Sign me up, Gaf-Naz!

I may enter this one. I really need ork terrain, both for my potential COD table and for Gorkamorka.

What about a landed landa, or a small encampment of diggas who are finally amongst their idols? Perhaps a fort, ala GoMo?

I'll probably make a Dok's serjury, or a power station.

KNW & Mad Grot - I found the last 3 komps to be a great outlet for my ideas and a fun way to learn so I'm happy to return the favour. thumbs.gif

Mad Dok - I've added Digga Camp and Landa/Rok. Thanks. cheers.gif

Magos - just tie the AA guns to the big barrage balloon that you know you've always wanted to model! biggrin2.gif

Ok a few quick questions.

What type of world is this on. GorkaMorka style deserts, jungles.. anything else?

Would a diorama scene taking place be ok?

Welcome aboard Dreachon. thumbs.gif

Nargred - A diorama scene is more than welcome.

As for the type of world, it would help tie all the entries together if I said they all had to be on one type of world/base, though it may put some entrants off as their battleboards may not match their scenery. questionork.gif

I'm thinking of encouraging desert based entries, but not docking points from entrants who don't. Anyone got any thoughts?
