wow, impressive stuff.
as far as skin texture goes i think you shouldnt change it much if you can help it and instead use slightly different tones on the skin when you paint them. but by building the howda, armour and steering concept in a completely differnt way to the fist squig, i think you will still manage to set them apart easily. keep up the great work -------------------- |

Great stuff Mousemuffins
How about texturing it like a crocodile Scales like these would give it some extra punch if it rammed something and give the boyz something to hold onto -------------------- WAAAGH DA ANZORKS!!! You could make it like a dragon, with spikes along the back and ending in a big spikeball on the end of the tail. use epoxy for spikes

Looking very good!
I like the idea of rougher type scales. Maybe squiggoth scales grow rougher when they age, and this beast could be the other ones' older brother. In that case, you could also make him have some battle damage, like an eye out, broken teeth, pockmarks from bullet or shell impacts, etc. Make this one more experienced and battle-hardened. It could also be the Warboss' favourite squiggoth. ... but those are just my ideas. -------------------- QUOTE(Mousemuffins @ Apr 25 2006, 04:51 AM) Sorry. there WILL be ripper fisttage. *jebus. I like the idea of crocodile scales on the beast, it'll certainly show that the beast can take a beatin and still be coming back to kick yours.

How do I have a feeling that you and krooza are going to try an outdo each other's squiggoths now? This'll be fun to watch

I don't like the style of the head as it looks like the squig has tried beating the enemy troops with its chin
Unless its just taken a bite out of an infantry squad, and is chewing. I does look good. Shade -------------------- Of course all my topics are pic heavy, you know why? because people don't want to open 12 hyperlinks a page! it stands to reason

I know this is nic-picking, but I'll mention it anyway.
It is difficult to see on the picture if the squigoth is able to look straight forward. Looking straight forward is a prime caracteristic of predators. Being able to see the prey infront without having to move the head. ---- Great looking squigoth - have you worked with sculpting as a job or ??? QUOTE (if you find a spelling error, you can keep it) Then I'll keep caracteristic I don't know if it's the shadow in the pic or not but the right toe on the squiggoth's left foot seems out of shape -------------------- WAAAGH DA ANZORKS!!! Impressive! most impressive!
My only coment is that there is no way I'd want to use foam, foam core, or thin paper card for one of my models. Too flimzy for me, I tend to drop things, Alot!. But You aperently know what your doing so I will stand down. -------------------- Set all weapons to "WAR CRIMES".
